If you’re serious about teaching your children a solid Biblical theology, going through a catechism is a great starting point! Whether you’re teaching from a 1689 London Baptist Confession or a Westminster Confession, a catechism will benefit your children and your family tremendously.

Deuteronomy 11:19 says:

19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

When my husband first introduced me to the idea of doing catechism, I initially thought it would be too much for kids to remember but boy was I wrong! My kid’s brains soak these Biblical truths up so quick it’s incredible! Even my 2.5-year-old can do this! It’s good for me as a parent too because it’s helping me too!

  1. We really like the G.I. Williamson Westminster catechism study guides for our middle schoolers and up! And Holly Dutton has put the whole catechism to music which makes it easier to remember!

  2. I love this! Thanks for putting this resource page together. I’ve been wanting to do a catechism with my kids for a long time.
