I am excited about this recipe! I actually came up with the idea when we were celebrating my nephews birthday and everyone wanted chocolate cream cheese frosting for the cupcakes. I wanted the ingredients to be simple because we were there for a short visit and I didn’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
After a successful run, and everyone raving about the frosting, I knew I had scored something amazing and had to recreate it at home!
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I thought it would be fun to whip up some Valentine’s Day cupcakes and frosting with the kids. I love having my kids in the kitchen with me because it teaches them at a young age how to navigate the kitchen and learn a great skill.
This delicious Valentine’s Chocolate Pudding Cream Cheese Frosting are super easy to make and only took about 5 minutes to whip up a batch!
With just 4 simple ingredients, all you need to do is put the ingredients in a bowl and mix!
I like to use whipped cream cheese, but you can totally use a regular block of cream cheese at room temperature.
5-Minute Chocolate Pudding Cream Cheese Frosting
- 16 ounces Whipped Cream Cheese
- 5.9 ounces Chocolate Instant Pudding Box (or your choice of flavor!)
- 1 cup Powder Sugar
- 1 tbsp Pure Vanilla Extract
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix on medium to high speed. If it's too thick, add more powder sugar until it's the consistency you prefer.
We made up a batch of pink cupcakes for Valentine’s Day and lined them with some cute heart cupcake liners and the kids loved decorating them with cute little heart sprinkles!
What I love about this recipe is that it isn’t too sweet, like most frostings, which makes it a winner in our house! The BEST part is that you can change the flavor anytime you make it by choosing a different flavor instant pudding mix! If that’s not a good reason to stock up on instant pudding mix, I don’t know what is!
